The Zone One Modulating Control Damper

Zone One is a control damper assembly designed to solve over-heating and over-cooling problems. It can be used to control a single room, or by using multiple dampers to zone multiple rooms. Zone One is available as two-position or modulating and with a damper or diffuser.

Commercial Zone Control Systems

The SC-Z20 is a commercial zone control system that allows a single HVAC unit to have up to 20 individual zones. Each zone is controlled by its own space thermostat and a modulating zone damper or diffuser. The SC-Z20 works with single-stage, multi-stage, or heat pump systems and has an auxiliary heat control option for each zone. The SC-Z20 is an affordable alternative to higher cost VAV systems and there is no programming required.

Greenheck Simplifies Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems

Greenheck’s eCAPS® Engineer Application Suite now includes dedicated outdoor air products in addition to fans and louvers. A free online product selection program, eCAPS allows engineers to easily compare multiple models simultaneously, eCAPS_Tablet_Handsautomatically optimizing selection based on price and performance. With the dedicated outdoor air product selection, users simply input airflows, heating and cooling type and design conditions. eCAPs will display the top three outdoor air systems that match the user’s criteria along with their relative cost, cooling and heating capacities, and unit weight and dimensions. Product selections can be easily shared with others.

eCAPS simplifies the specification process by automatically ranking the best value products for the project. In addition to selecting outdoor air products, eCAPS ranks more than 10,000 fan models based on performance, sound levels, operating costs and first costs. It also selects from among 75 louver models based on velocity, free area, volume, water rejection rating and pressure drop. A Toolbox feature in eCAPS provides a convenient source for the latest product application technology and educational videos. Greenheck’s eCAPS can be accessed at ecaps.greenheck.com.

Greenheck Announces Manufacturing Expansion

Greenheck announced today that it will expand its manufacturing facilities in Shelby, North Carolina. The company will invest nearly $60 million to expand production of its Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS), Tempered Air Products (TAP) and Architectural Products. Several hundred new manufacturing jobs will be created over the next five years. The expansion plans include the purchase of an existing manufacturing facility which will support increased demand for Greenheck DOAS and TAP products. Construction of a new Architectural Products facility on the Shelby campus is expected to begin in the near future to accommodate increased sales of architectural louvers, sun controls, grilles, and screens.

“Greenheck has made significant investments in people and operations over the last several years,” said Tim Kilgore, Greenheck President of Sales and Marketing. “Our investments in manufacturing have included five new or expanded facilities in Schofield, Wisconsin; an entirely new campus in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and now the ongoing campus investment and expansion in North Carolina. With several of our manufacturing facilities at or near operational capacity, it’s time to expand. The Southeastern U.S. market offers tremendous future opportunities for us, and we can best serve those customers with shorter delivery times and lower freight costs by being closer to the action.”

Expanded Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems Line from Greenheck

Greenheck has expanded its line of Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) for high percentage and 100% outside air. Pre-engineered rooftop ventilator models RV-110 and RVE-180 with energy recovery offer capacities up to 18,000 cfm, up to 70 tons ofRV-110_Openpackaged cooling and 1200 mbh indirect gas-fired heating. Both models feature an upgraded controls platform with a web user interface that comes as standard. The new web user interface (UI) provides an overview graphic of the unit operation and allows the controller menus to be accessed and adjusted from the web UI. The factory-programmed, wired and tested controller can operate as a stand-alone unit or integrate with a Building Management System (BMS).

Factory-mounted Variable Frequency Drives on models RV-110 and RVE-180 control air flow. A digital scroll compressor provides tight temperature and humidity control, and a 10:1 high turndown furnace provides precise temperature control. All are standard features with packaged DX cooling and indirect-gas heating on these new models.

Featuring two-inch double-wall construction and R13 thermally broken foam insulation, Greenheck DOAS units meet the demands of today’s heating, cooling, dehumidification, and ventilation requirements.
